Reeves McGlohon, President
Reeves McGlohon retired in 2013 as Gaston County’s school superintendent after dedicating over 40 years to public education. His extensive career has left a lasting impact on the community, fostering educational excellence and growth.
Beyond his professional achievements, Reeves remains actively involved in church activities, civic initiatives, and various community organizations in Mount Holly and Gaston County, continuing to contribute to the area's development and well-being. -
Jeff Kaylor, Vice President
With more than three decades of experience in law enforcement, Jeff Kaylor brings invaluable expertise to the MHPF Board of Directors. A retired officer from the Gaston County Police, Jeff continues to share his skills and knowledge not only with the MHPF but also through his active participation in the First Presbyterian Church in Mount Holly and numerous charitable organizations. His commitment to public safety and community service underscores his dedication to enhancing local law enforcement efforts.

Bobby Black, Secretary
Bobby Black has demonstrated unwavering support for the Mount Holly Police Department throughout his tenure as Mount Holly’s Mayor and as a member of the Mount Holly City Council. A strong advocate for public safety, Bobby led a citizen’s task force that successfully raised funds and coordinated the design of the Mount Holly Police Memorial. His leadership and dedication have significantly strengthened the relationship between the community and its law enforcement.

Terry Lancaster, Treasurer
Terry Lancaster is the managing owner of Foard and Company, a CPA firm specializing in services for non-profit organizations. His professional expertise is complemented by his strong connections to law enforcement, highlighted by his son’s role as an officer with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Terry’s financial acumen and commitment to supporting law enforcement make him a vital asset to the MHPF Board.

Julia Benfield, Board Member
Julia Benfield serves as the Manager and Vice President of Commercial Insurance for a prominent North Carolina insurance agency. Her long-standing support for local law enforcement is evident through her active involvement in community, civic, and non-profit organizations. Additionally, Julia is the spouse of a retired officer from the Mount Holly Police Department, further deepening her dedication to supporting and enhancing public safety in the community.

Wanda Crawford, Board Member
Wanda Crawford brings energy and enthusiasm to her role at the State Employees Credit Union, qualities that make her a dynamic member of the MHPF Board of Directors. A long-time supporter of the Mount Holly Police Department, Wanda tirelessly advocates for and supports local law enforcement initiatives. Her dedication and vibrant spirit contribute significantly to the board’s effectiveness and community outreach efforts.

James Ford, Board Member
James Ford is the founder and Senior Pastor of the Morningside Missionary Church in Mount Holly. With 32 years of service in both state and local government, Reverend Ford has been a passionate advocate for law enforcement at all levels. His unwavering support for the Mount Holly Police Department and his efforts to promote community-police collaboration make him an invaluable member of the MHPF Board.

Irene Pharr, Board Member
Irene Pharr is the owner and manager of Catawba Coffee Company, a beloved establishment in downtown Mount Holly. Catawba Coffee has long supported the Mount Holly Police Department by hosting "Coffee with a Cop" events throughout the year, fostering positive interactions between law enforcement and the community. Irene’s dedication to supporting local law enforcement is further personal, as her son serves as a police officer in the line of duty. Her commitment enhances community solidarity and support for the police department.

Joanna is the General Manager of Daimler Trucks Mount Holly Plant. She brings a wealth of knowledge to her role on the MHPF Board as well as representing one of Mount Holly's largest employers and a company that has a positive track record of support for local law enforcement.

Kevin Collier, Board Member
Kevin Collier is the CEO and Owner of Riverside Millwork in Charlotte and a lifelong resident of Mount Holly. His 24-year service as a representative on the Gaston County Board of Education highlights his commitment to education and community development. Kevin played a pivotal role in implementing School Resource Officers in all Gaston County schools, demonstrating his dedication to enhancing safety and security in educational environments.

Brian Reagan, Chief of Police
Chief Brian Reagan is the dedicated Chief of Police for the Mount Holly Police Department, committed to ensuring the safety and prosperity of the community he has proudly called home for over twenty years. A lifelong resident of Belmont and Mount Holly, Chief Reagan strives to balance the growth and flourishing of the area while preserving its cherished small-town charm.
With a career spanning 21 years at the Mount Holly Police Department, Chief Reagan has held a variety of roles that demonstrate his versatility and leadership in law enforcement. He began his service in the Patrol Division as a Patrol Officer and K-9 Handler, advancing to Patrol Sergeant. His expertise expanded further as he served in the Investigations Division as a Detective, before moving into Administration as the Deputy Chief of Police. This extensive experience across multiple divisions has provided Chief Reagan with a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of policing and community safety.
Chief Reagan is well-educated, holding degrees from Gaston College and Western Carolina University. His commitment to professional development is evident through his completion of numerous training courses, culminating in the attainment of Intermediate and Advanced Law Enforcement Certificates from the North Carolina Department of Justice. These qualifications enhance his ability to lead effectively and implement best practices within the Mount Holly Police Department.
Chief Reagan’s deep roots in Mount Holly and Belmont, combined with his unwavering dedication to public service, make him an invaluable leader and advocate for the community. His vision for a safe, thriving, and harmonious Mount Holly continues to guide his efforts as Chief of Police, ensuring that the community remains a wonderful place to live, work, and grow.
